There’s a cat outside that I feed who was hit by a car a couple of months ago. I noticed about a month ago that her tail was just limp and she had feces matted on the back of her legs and tail. Half of her tail fell off a couple of weeks ago and I also noticed that she doesn’t seem able to control her bowel movements anymore. I find feces all over the porch and it just seems to fall right out of her. Is there anything that can be done for this cat? The humane society in my county doesn’t have the ability to help and I couldn’t afford to take her to a vet.
Hello Krista, thank you so much for the response. It means alot for me.
About my cat diarrhae, it was cure after the treatment, diet, medicine, and vitamin. and vet asked to changed his food to Royal Canin Gastrointestinal. He eat that food for 2 months, and after he look all fine, the vet asked to change his food to Royal Canin Digestive Care for maintenance. I did changed his food step by step, like 70% old food mix 30% new food to make his stomach not shock for new food. His stool was runny once, 2 days after his stool look normal like usually, but yesterday night his stool runny again and it pop out again (prolapse).
Im so confused and stress. I really did everything 🙁 in my issue like this, is the colopexy the last way i must take??
Thank you so much for the response

My cat, Mattie, is 12 years old currently and has been acting a bit strange these past 2 years. She wanders into bathrooms in the middle of the night and yeowls loudly, but when you investigate she seems disinterested in you. I found that she has a habit of drinking from the toilet and assumed that the water in her dish was inadequate. I make it a point to refresh the water dish every time I pass her water bowl. However the yeowling continues. The vets I’ve visited have ruled out blindness and dementia, and simply say shes lonely. I don’t really know how to feel about this as she isn’t a clingy cat. Recently, she has been diagnosed with Kidney Disease, and I was instructed to put her on prescription food (Dry and Wet), and I can’t help but wonder if her midnight caterwauls are due to an illness I can’t see. Is there anything I can do?
Is it normal for a cat with psychogenic alopecia/overgrooming to get worse with stress and somewhat better when stress levels go down?
my unaltered 1 1/2 yo female gray tabby cat, Pebbles Leanna, has been in constant estrus since Christmas eve of 2018…she is usually in heat 7-10 days. this is the first time she’s been in heat this long. no other physiological or heath problems. she eats, defecates and urinates appropriately. she is the only unaltered cat of 5- one female and 3 males. days are ok but her night time yowling is so loud, my next door neighbors (I live in a single dwelling house) tell me THEY can hear her at night singing the songs of her people. no other problems noted. PLEASE advise!..
I have a 2 year old Burmese that has had a UTI and likely has another. He is a difficult animal with anyone other than me. Our current vet has not been willing to do a clean catch for his urine. Any recommendations for a vet that will in the Prince Frederick/Hughesville/Waldorf area?
My cat has these black, crusty spots on her chin. What are they and is it ok to put peroxide on them?
When you say HQ wet cat food, can you be brand specific?
My 2 year old boy cat isn’t eating that much and doesn’t play anymore and sits in the same spot everyday. He was really active before we went homeless from June 2017 to November 2017, during that time he ran away twice while we were sleeping in the woods because we had nowhere to go. Ever since he just doesn’t play anymore and the past 2 months he hasn’t been eating that much. I got a girl kitty around May, she’s a hyper girl and I thought they’d play a lot more but he doesn’t seem to like her. Is there anyway I can get them to play together and what do I do about him eating less? He used to come running when I put food down and now he just sits on the table looking outside the window.
