Hi, I Only Noticed This Bump Under Beasley’s Nose Few Weeks Ago. It Is Steadily …

Hi,

I only noticed this bump under Beasley’s nose few weeks ago. It is steadily growing. Doctor thinks it is a skin granuloma, gave him antibiotics and steroids for the past week. Hasn’t helped I went back and looked at pictures, looks like it started mid August, after a trip to the beach. I can’t keep him from licking the spot, anything we put on it, he licks more to get it of.

    Hello,
The best way to diagnose and lump or bump is with surgical excision and biopsy. Until that is done it is just a guess and many lesions can look very similar. I would hope it’s a histocytoma but I would talk to your vet about treatment options including surgical excision or referral to a veterinary dermatologist. Let us know what happens. And good luck!

Right So It Started 8 Weeks Ago :( My Mom Got Gout And Couldn’t Walk…

right so it started 8 weeks ago 🙁 my mom got gout and couldn’t walk my huskies.. Although drawing that time my husky started to chew his 2 back paws. He has got to the stage now were we have bandages and booties on his paws and when it gets really bad we have to put his buster collar on him 🙁 we have been to numerous vets who have tried a number of things. Because he has slight his dysplasia he has had the test were fluid is taken out of the spine and that came back clear. His scan is fine it is still only very minor hip dysplasia He has been on anti-depressants and also stuff for allergies and nothing Is working at all. Although I know I’m far from a vet but I really think he has lick granuloma. I have been looking it up for a while and it really sounds like that what he has . The licking constantly and the causes that can do it no exercise ?? And also it says the cause can be if a member of the pack has left or died. in November my cat died which has been in the diesels life since he was a pup. I just really don’t know what to do. Any help would be grateful.
Thanks everyone

    Hi Krista,
Thanks for your advice. Although he’s had blood work also and they said there’s nothing abnormal there. And also because he suffers with allergies sometimes they did tests for allergies and everything’s fine there too 🙁 Also hes been on apoquel and that hasn’t helped . I think we’ve tried the majority of things 🙁 The vet rang today and he said as nothing is showing abnormal it has to be in his head but if I’m honest most vets just seems to keep trying anything and everything 🙁 hes been on so much medication recently 🙁 Ill look up a dermatologist though thankyou 🙂
