2 days ago i noticed a big black scab on my cats chin, i am familiar with cat-ne (feline acne) and i have not noticed it on him previously. The scab was pretty large and when i looked at it today, he allowed me to touch it so im assuming it isnt causing him pain and it kinda just fell right off. However, now there is a big raw spot where the scab was. Its rather pink and i think i saw some clear and possibly some yellow fluid coming out of a couple spots. But at this point, he was uncomfortable and ran away so i couldnt get a better look. Anyone have any ideas? It just seemed like too big a scab to be acne..
I Suspect Maybe Her Stomach May Be Like That…
My dog is 2 years old.
I suspect maybe her stomach may be like that due to the food I’ve been feeding her so I’m thinking changing the food.
But I do not know why her nipples are large and black.
my black lab has a large sac hanging off his top lip it dos’ent bother him but its now started bleeding
MY dog she is a Beagle and in her stool we have been worming her and in her stool there are these large dead black betel looking type bugs
About 3 weeks ago my black lab had a large lump(about 1.5kg) removed from her left side. The wound has healed nicely but twice now she has had to go back to the vet to have fluid drawn out. How long will the build up continue for?
I have an Indian Pariah who has been battling an infection problem for a long time. With time the dog (Lucy) has slowly recovered to a point where the large holes have closed. However, the infection will not go away totally. The wounds will close and the infection comes back (black necrotic tissue) and the wounds open back up, sometime going from closed and looking healed (nothing inflamed, or discolored) to open to size of a quarter or so in a day or two. This has happend three or four times now. For example, over the last month, the holes slowly closed and have been closed for several days, the longest so far. Yesteday they all looked good. This morning one hole breached and now it is a centimeter in size and I am concern the others will reopen as well. One has been closed for more than a week. The one that opened today was closed for about as long. Yesterday there we no visable signs of infection. Today, boom, there it is and bad.
When this happens it appears to be deep, not only surfacial. The dog remains on antibiotics. However, it appears that whatever the infection is, it is a resistant type and will not be killed easily.
My dog is a 3 year old american bulldog, since he was young he has had anditchy right ear which I concluded could just be yeast (since he is rather large). But he also gets black spots along his stomach and down his legs, when I pat the black spots he shows me they are very itchy with his hind legs. They are crusty and small, about the size of a dime, and not completely black but also a fungus type colour. When they are scratched they peel away but I dont peel them in fear of hurting him. I know this can be caused by fleas but none of my other dogs suffer from it. Pictures are available upon request. Please help.
I currently give my black lab Dasuquin with MSM. What is the difference with Dasuquin and Cosequin? Is one more beneficial than the other, especially for large breeds that inherently have hip issues later in life?
