Hello,
There are literally hundreds (probably more) things that can cause this. Some of them are imminent emergencies like a foreign body obstruction, parvo, parasite overload, infection, etc etc. based on the age of this pup I urge you to go immediately to a veterinarian for the puppy to be seen. I suspect this is truly an emergency and hope you can go. Stop trying to fix it at home. Puppies are too fragile and can die within hours of an illness.

Hello! I Have A Puppy Named Chico, He’s A Japanese Spitz. He’s Only 4 Months…

Hello! I have a puppy named Chico, he’s a Japanese Spitz. He’s only 4 months old and he’s a really healthy dog. He eats a lot, he drinks a lot. However since 2 days ago, he hasn’t eaten anything. He doesn’t want to eat anything, he drinks water though. But he really doesn’t want to eat. Whenever we gave him food, after a few hours, he’ll vomit that food that he ate. We think it’s dehydration, but just like what, I’ve said awhile ago, he likes to drink a lot of water so I don’t think that he’s dehydrated. Since 2 days ago, he has lost around 4 pounds I think. We’ve tried giving him electrolyte like Gatorade, we’ve also given him metoclopramide, and dextrose also. But he always vomits his medicine after a few hours also. What should I do? Please help me, he’s really gloomy.

Hello,
Based on your puppies age I have to urge you to go to the vet immediately. Any illness or disease in a puppy this young can be and should be regarded as an emergency. I worry about parvo, parasites and a slew of other things that can be dangerous and even deadly if not addressed quickly. Dehydration kills puppies. Quick. Please see a vet immediately.

Hello,
We cannot provide a diagnosis online. I’m sorry. It is also very very difficult in almost all cases to even try. We would need to know more about your cat, where you live, your environment and then your pets preventative history. The best way to diagnose is to bring it to your vet along with a fresh fecal sample to send to the lab for analysis.

Hello, My Dog Is Vomiting White Foam Almost Every Day In The Morning. I Already…

Hello, my dog is vomiting white foam almost every day in the morning. I already tried some medicide that our vet prescribed, but they do not work. I’m starting to be scared what if its a much serious problem? It all started when he was little, but it wasnt so serious, he would throw up 1 time a month. I would give him “good bacteria” pills and everything would come back to normal. But now as he is older than 1y. he is throwing up almost everyday or second day. I tried like 3-4 types of pills, but they do not help…
(The photo is from internet).

Good morning. I am sorry that your dog is having this issue. I would talk to my vet about getting a second opinion or having them refer me to someone to find it what the cause might be.

Rescued A Kitten (about 6-7 Weeks Old) From A Construction Site, He Is Wobbly…

Rescued a kitten (about 6-7 weeks old) from a construction site, he is wobbly when he walks, runs, plays. Back legs splayed, seem too big for his body. Vet check/vaccines next week, but was curious if anyone has had this experience as well. Also, seems warm to touch. No vomiting, eyes are clear.

Good morning? Thank you for rescuing this kitten!! Have you been in to the vet yet? Or is next week your first visit? If you’ve already been in once, and weight is good, temp is good, appetite and bathrooming are good, gums look good…. then it may be ok to wait until your scheduled visit. I personally, would probably call the vet right away and mention it and see if they could bump up my visit. Best of luck with your new furry friend!!?

How long have you had him? Perhaps he is just malnourished and lacking appropriate muscle mass? But I would certainly look into intestinal and external parasites and any of the kitten diseases. If he is happy and doing well give him a week or two to see if he grows into his legs.

My Kitty Is 7 Months Old And She’s Never Had A Problem Up Until Now…

My kitty is 7 months old and she’s never had a problem up until now. In the past few days, she’s been vomitting up the food she’s been eating. Other than the throw up, nothing is out of the ordinary. She’s still her playful and cuddly self. She is still eating and drinking well. Her poop is still formed as well, no diarrhea. What could be going on? We got a new kitten two weeks ago and at first she really disliked her, then on the third day they became best friends. She didn’t start throwing up untill three days ago.

Good morning? if she is drinking normally and using the litter box regularly it could be a couple if things…. possibly stress from the new kitten, which will most likely pass with time. Make sure she has her own space to retreat to, and try feeding them separately. You might also want elevate the food bowl. Sometimes if they throw up right away, that helps. If it continues, or worsens you should definitely call the vet and get her in. Good luck!

My Year Old St Poodle Was Spayed And Had Gastroplexi Surgery At Same Time. About…

My year old st Poodle was spayed and had gastroplexi surgery at same time. About a month after she vomited up blood. Went to ER had X-ray and ultrasound and blood work done. All vitals normal . Ultrasound showed a one inch fluid filled mass in stomach. Dog is extremely happy and playful with no pain when touched. Is this a seroma and how would you treat this?

HI there?
Have you discussed this with your regular vet, not the ER? If it is a seroma, they can clear up on their own with lots of time. You may want a check in at your own vet though as they’d know your dog better and can assist you in recovery. Best of luck.

I Have Two Dogs. One Is 12 Year Old Neutered Pitbull Mix ‘Keizer’. The Other…

I have two dogs. One is 12 year old Neutered pitbull mix ‘Keizer’. The other is 9 year old Spayed pitbull ‘Delilah’. Keizer has had a bloated belly for quite some time. It’s not hard, not tender to the touch. I thought it was just him being pudgy from old age. His appetite is always great. His energy level is always the same, unless it’s really hot outside. Delilah, within the past two days I notice she has a swollen area under her rib cage, that I’m guessing would be a tumor, or. Enlarged spleen/liver?? I changed their canned food back to what I used to give them about a week and a half ago. Their gas has been aweful. Yesterday and the day before I had to clean up three huge piles of vomit. One of which I witnessed Keizer doing but that one was mostly clear water- no foam or discoloration or smell. Two of them were Keizer. I am confident the other chunky one was Delilah. She had a healthy bowel movement this morning on our walk. He hasn’t but usually only does that in our back yard. She has been known to chew things up and swallow the pieces, she has passed plastic toy balls and even a grocery bag when she was a puppy. She doesn’t have access to things like that now, but it is in her history. I don’t have a job right now and struggling just to feed them and myself. I make sure they eat before I do, but I haven’t eaten anything since the day before yesterday. This is how broke I am. I don’t know what to do, I’ve had both these dogs since they were 6 weeks old, I can’t sit here knowing they might be in danger. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello? There are a multitude of reasons this could be going on with them right now. Food change is a possibility, but there are other, very serious ones too. The only way to know for sure there isn’t an obstruction or blockage is through a vet unfortunately. That is only ruling out one possible cause though. A thorough exam would be necessary to rule that out and to find out other potential reasons for their bloat and vomiting. I understand you are strapped for money. Perhaps a local shelter could help? Or perhaps you can try to set up some… Read more »

My Boykin Spaniel, Georgia (will Be 1 Year Next Month) Has Just Started Vomiting Yellowish…

My Boykin Spaniel, Georgia (will be 1 year next month) has just started vomiting yellowish color bile. She also has very foul smelling, dark urine. She eats and drinks very little at the time. Could the bile and dark urine be from something she ate recently, or something more serious going on? Any suggestions?

Hello? I would call the vet. Seeing as she is almost a year and her annual exam and shots are due soon, they may even squeeze everything into one visit for you. But the fact that there seems to be something going on needs to be addressed/assessed by your vet.

Does Anyone Have Any Idea Why My Kitten Died? Our Kitty Was Almost 4 Months Old…

Does anyone have any idea why my kitten died?
Our kitty was almost 4 months old. The other night he was playing just fine and having fun with his brother like he always does, in the morning my husband saw him climbing up the side of our bed, happy like usual. My daughter saw him playing with his brother on the floor of her room, he had shred up a cat toy of his, which had some small pieces of tinsel and yarn. He seemed totally fine to everyone, then we found him laying on the floor of a different bedroom, dead. We are absolutely devastated. We have no idea what happened and its really bothering me. We also have his brother, almost 4 months old, and 3 other cats in our house. When we found him, he was laying on his side, mouth open, eyes open and they looked cross. His paws seemed like they were sticky, and had kitty litter on them, his tail had the same thing on it and a couple spots in his fur. i found a spot in our kitchen, which resembled what was on his fur, It looked like he vomited bile maybe, or I dont know if it came out his back end? I have no clue! It smelled terrible, and there was also a small brown smooshy pile in the middle of it as well, and looked like he had tried to cover some spots of it up with some kitty litter. Does anyone maybe have some insight? #suddendeath

I am so very sorry for you. The only way to truly find out what happened is for your vet to do an autopsy of sorts. Even then, they may not be able to tell you exactly what happened. I’m so sorry.

Yes, a necropsy will tell you what happened.
