My Dog Fears When People Come Near Or Across Her , Whenever I Take Her…

My dog fears when people come near or across her , whenever i take her to a walk outside. In house, she’s playful. Plays fetch, takes part in basic training. But even indoors, if a stranger comes , she’d bark or hide as if her life depended. That reaction is very heart breaking. Could you please help?

Okay. I suggest heading to this website, giving it a read, and employing the tips mentioned: https://www.whole-dog-journal.com/issues/9_4/features/Dog_Behavior_15800-1.html

Yes! That’s the best thing you can do, here. Try to make everything a positive experience.

This is a confidence problem. How old is she? How long have you had her? How do YOU react when she behaves in this way?

We Live In Tennessee So It Gets Quite Hot Here.. My Husky Is Strictly An…

We live in Tennessee so it gets quite hot here.. my husky is strictly an indoor dog but we do go on our walks every morning before it gets too hot. She has always had sensitive skin but has never given herself any hotspots until we moved to Tennessee.. we treat them and it works but we can’t seem to be able to prevent them.. I keep her as cool as possible with our aircon to suit her and she also has a cooling mat she lies on.. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on how to prevent them on a heavy coated dog breed?

Have you gotten all grains out of her diet? It may not be the heat – it may be that she is allergic to some thing in this new environment. Does do not need to eat grains, and do not utilize them well which places a strain on the dog’s immune system, so it prevents that system from dealing with the stress of new allergens. Go to a good pet store (not a grocery, or big box store, and not a pet store that sells puppies) and ask to be shown to the grain-free dog food. Then start reading labels… Read more »
