My 8 month old female small breed dog is usually very hyper and loving, but this morning I noticed that she was acting different; puking up foam, diarrhea, and not wanting to move around much, as the day went on, it was straight blood HELP

In case of Puking Foam , Her digestive system isn’t good. But blood is coming?!?? She got a stomach cancer. Keep calm and visit a vet as soon as possible if you want to save her.

My Cat Has A Very Bad Abscess On His Head. Was Sick For A Few…

My cat has a very bad abscess on his head. Was sick for a few days before we realized. A drain tube was installed about 30 hours ago. Lots of drainage still. Cat not very responsive, eyes not opening to look at me, mostly laying in one spot. As far as i can tell, he’s only getting up to urinate in the box. He drank some water last night. Had a very very small bite of food but hasn’t really eaten for days. Is this normal now that the tube is installed? He was given fluids and a antibiotic shot. I feel like the infection, not the antibiotics, is winning the battle. How long before I see progress or need to take him back to the vet? I’m thinking we should go back tomorrow 48 hours after having the tube installed if he’s still like this. Thoughts?

She does not have worms or fleas. Her skin doesn’t look irritated and she has been eating the same food since we have had her. I was just wondering what this could be and what I could do about it to help her hair.

It could be mange.  Get her to the vet for a skin scrape to determine the cause.

  2. Ashley Schauner

I read that mange is contagious and I have 3 other dogs. None of them losing hair like her. Do you think it could be her losing her puppy hair to grow in the adult hair?

There are two types of mange.

    Bald patches are not normal.

My cat has developed some bald patches on her back, where her tail is, with small reddish brown scabs underneath. They are the size of pin heads.
Flea reaction? Mange?

Looks exactly like my dogs back right now, and we have a bad case of the fleas. I am calling an exterminator tomorrow, I would recommend doing the same and getting her treated with Front line and a flea collar

Of note, I took the kitten to the vet at 11 days, and she tested negative for parasites in stool. I am using the correct formula.

My Dog Has Been Having Diarrhea For About 4 Days Now, And Is Only Eating…

My dog has been having diarrhea for about 4 days now, and is only eating at night. He will happily eat two meals worth at night. He has been having super smelly farts. I noticed that the farts seem to come mostly after he eats (several an hour for a couple hours), but through the rest of the day, its about once every few hours. His diet doesn’t really change, but he does love spending a lot of time in the back yard.

I recommend having a vet do an exam, fecal float (to look for parasites) and possibly x-rays.  Diarrhea for 4 days in a dog this large is not an emergency but he should be seen by a vet soon.

It’s under the skin about the size of a dime it’s squishy not hard, he also doesn’t seem to mind when we touch it or push it. What should I do? It has only been 2 days since I noticed it. I want to take him to the vet but I think theyll just say keep an eye on it. It’s not red or anything you cannot see it.

I would keep an eye on it to see if it changes in a few days.  Then I would take him to the vet to get the lump biopsied.

Vomiting can be for many reasons.
Upset stomach? Could he/she have gotten into anything? Ate something they weren’t suppose to?

We recommending withholding for for the day and starting to then feed small amount if they seem to be improving.
Next steps would be radiographs to confirm whether anything seems odd, and sometimes sending out a blood panel to check levels.

He also has been panting and having periods of breathing rapidly which tend to happen with him. He is eating and walking and going to the bathroom normally. He suffers from hip dysplacia and arthritis but I cant tell if it is pain related. The concerning thing is the labored breathing.
