Bella is a 12-year-old spayed female Labrador Retriever who presented with a bleeding mass prior to her scheduled procedure. Upon examination, it was determined that she required a comprehensive dental cleaning and surgical removal of multiple masses. Several teeth were noted to be mobile, and there was a moderate accumulation of dental tartar.
On the day of the procedure, an intravenous (IV) catheter was placed, and IV fluids were administered throughout the day. Bella also received IV antibiotics to address any potential infections associated with dental disease and to reduce the risk of post-operative infection related to the mass removals.
Bella is recovering well, and her incisions have healed beautifully.
