Stella is a seven year-old Staffordshire terrier that had a growth removed from her side and was taking antibiotics. I stopped the antibiotics four days ago because she had diarrhea so bad. I gave her chicken and rice and Pepto-Bismol for several days now she is constipated has not pooped in 24 hours. She is panting and shaking. Don’t know what to give her now or what to do.

The best advice I can offer is to go back to whomever did the surgery and ask for their help in assessing how your pup is doing now. I don’t know if the lack of diarrhea indicates things are improving or if your pup is worse due to their behavior and inappetance. Panting and shaking might be pain, infection or distress. She needs to see a vet.
