We Have A 4 Month Old Boy, (Cinder) And A Decided To Get A New…

We have a 4 month old boy, (Cinder) and a decided to get a new kitten, (Willow) recently so they can be friends while we work all day, so they don’t get lonely. She had ringworm and red bites all over when we got her, she wasn’t looked after very well. We got treatment for her from our vet, a 2x week shampoo and anti-fungal cream daily. Her’s are all clearing up and looking better, but now Cinder has developed one on his ear. We are treating it like we were told to treat Willows. Shampoo 2x week and cream daily. Now his ear is red and shredded of skin and hair and the other one is starting to do the same. He’s developed red spots on his temples and head. He had just started to get diarrhoea as well. And we haven’t changed his food, his mood is as normal. Still running around and chasing things. We have confined them to a tiled area of the house, which he is hating. But does this sound like something other than ringworm? Willows ringworm is healing completely different. Or is it possible he’s reacting to the treatment?

My Dog Was Neutered Last Thursday (9 Days Ago). They Used Dissolvable Stitches. I Can’t…

My dog was neutered last Thursday (9 days ago). They used dissolvable stitches. I can’t even see the suture sight because it’s healed so well. There is a tiny bit of redness in one spot so that’s probally it but I can’t be sure.
There is a blizzard where I am at and he definitely is getting wet. I’ve tried to shovel out a spot for him but he went wild in the snow (it’s his first time experiencing it!) And ignored my shoveled spot. I don’t see any problem.
I know the vet advised 10-14 days for a lot of activity and getting it wet but I don’t think there is really any way around this.

Do you think there is any real reason to panick if he seems fine and I don’t see any problems down there?

-history, My Ex Husband And I Got Her At 7 Weeks Old. He Already Had…

-history, my ex husband and I got her at 7 weeks old. He already had a lab (approx 8 months old). We separated and I was able to keep my girl, he kept the boy. She has had 2 litters. The first, 11 puppies all healthy- the second, all passed away. (The litters were in no way planned) Not directly after the second litter but within a year she started getting severe ear infections. She was fixed and treated for yeast infections for the ears- she never full relief. After a couple rounds of antibiotics my vet recommended getting blood work done as well as allergy testing. Turns out she is allergic to 21 different things and is in the early stages of kidney failure.

I am taking complete care if her medical issues and spend a good amount of time with her. We go on morning walks, I come home at lunch and take her out, we go on evening walks, and she sleeps in my bed with me.

She is the sweetest pup I’ve ever known, but she is overly clingy. At first it was cute but now anytime I move, she moves. I walk into a different room, she follows. I go to use the bathroom and she sits at my feet. Literally, if she could, she would crawl inside me. Again, I love my pup, I’m just concerned this is not healthy.

Any advice??

Hi My Rabbit Has Given Birth Sometime Today, She Was Left With Us By A…

Hi my rabbit has given birth sometime today, she was left with us by a friend only yesterday so we were unaware of her pregnancy. How do we tell if the babies are fed? What other precautions we should take?

The babies are currently placed separately with beeding and fur to prevent Mom from stepping on them accidentally. I’m not sure if that’s right to do. Two babies altogether, one is well fed but the other one has a flat tummy. I have tried placing it back to Mom but she did not feed it. Any advice on that? What should I observe about the babies?

My 2 Year Old Pit Bull Has A Sever Rash On His Thighs Up To…

My 2 year old pit bull has a sever rash on his thighs up to his chest and under arms. We rescued him a year ago and everything was fine but about 4 months after we got him the rash started appearing. By vet recommendation we moved him to gluten free food that helped for a little but the rash returned. Then the vet gave us allergy medicine. That worked until they were gone and then the rash was back again. Now the rash is worse than ever. It starts out looking like dry, irritated, inflamed skin around his thighs and under arms and then starts to peel and ooze. Up his chest he has red bumps that half look like pimples and half like hives. Our vet now wants to try allergy shots but I don’t want to do that unless I know it will work and nothing else will. I am very tight on money but what my baby to feel better.

I was just wondering if the vet did a skin scraping to check for mange mites?

She is doing good, still eating and drinking. Using the bathroom. Very protective of pups which is good. Panting still but I also have the heat turned up for pups. I’ve tried taking her to the vets but no one is accepting new patients and are refusing to help. I cannot travel due to weather and car problems. I’m just worried a pup came two days later

Some have hair loss on back and by tail. Could this be food allergies or something in soil?

My first thought is since you changed food there is a food allergy involved, I would get them a grain free food and slowly change them over.

I did this yesterday. Changed food to a good food.

My 1year Old Cat Isn’t Acting Right. He Is Not Eating. But Is Drinking Water…

My 1year old cat isn’t acting right. He is not eating. But is drinking water. Now he is normally real food aggressive but last two days and now into today he hasn’t really eatin. I took to vet and they gave him an anti-inflammatory as well as some ad hills can food to maybe draw him in. He ate just a little last night off my fingers but not interested really. And just laying around. No energy, kinda dazed look. But when at the vet was more interactive but as soon as we got home nothing changed… i have 3 other cats that are healthy and fine. Please help with some insight.

We have all our cats on Revaluation for Parasites. Up to date on all shots too. Our normal vet is closed today and yesterday so when we took him in it was an “emergency” visit at a new vet. They said he wasn’t dehydrated, temperature wasn’t elevated and that he looked fine. But i know he isn’t. They gave him the anti-inflammatory to maybe help relieve gastric pain or discomfort. Then that ad food. I would really like to wait until he can go to our vet Monday because they know him and the emergency vet is super expensive and I’m on a tight budget. But I’m not sure if that is wrong…

He is drinking water no problem. Thats whats throwing me so off. Im just keep offering him that wet food when he starts licking himself and it kind of tricks him into licking some up. I think we are going to ride it out for now, but if he starts drinking less and what not I will definitely be taking him back. Thank you so much for your insight. Blood work tomorrow for sure. Oh, one more symptom is hes not pooping but is peeing. And hes know to chew on things like shirts and towels and boxes. Im just so baffled by it all and want my babie back to normal

  4. Cymantha Seeley

Took him in to my vet that Monday and he was very disturbed with the size of the steroid/anti-inflammatory other vet gave him. And the lack of antibiotic. Said he had a virus or cold and should had been given that first not the other shot, which is why his behavior didn’t change. He received some fluids and antibiotics and three days later doing great. Thank you for the insight. It was very comforting at the time.
