I’m not quite sure about this, but I would think that the medication that they gave your cat may be hard on his belly so just like if we were to take Maalox it would coat our bellys so it probably acts the same for him. Don’t over do it cause its not the best thing to give a cat just give him the recommended dose. Good luck and I hope you cat will be ok.☺

I Was Bare Footed Thankfully. She Isn’t Feeding And She Just Goes Straight To Sleep…

I was bare footed thankfully. She isn’t feeding and she just goes straight to sleep as soon as we try to check on her. She’s being really quiet in comparison to how playful she usually is. I feel absolutely terrible for this and cannot stop crying. She has sneezing constantly and bled a little from her nose. Her front top gun now sees to be overlapping the bottom and I really don’t know what to do. My mum can’t afford to take her to a vet and I cannot stop panicking please please someone help me, is she going to be okay?

Hi try not to beat yourself up about this, it was an accident you didn’t do it on purpose.

However this kitten needs a Vet and you need to take her somehow. If her top jaw is overlapping it sounds serious…plus a nosebleed. You cannot leave the little kitten in pain…you have to get her to a Vet. You could try phoning the PDSA they may be able to help.

Oh dear Georgia…this is so awful for you. But it was an accident, you didn’t do it on purpose and no one will blame you…honestly, I certainly don’t. Please don’t live with guilt these things unfortunately happen. I’m pleased you contacted the PDSA but was hoping they would help with the cost for you. I am very pleased the kitten is at the Vet and hopefully its not as serious as a skull fracture. However, it may be better to let her go if it is…but feeding off her mum is s very positive sign. Its very hard when things… Read more »

Georgia
I see how you are concerned They are so little and helpless
Are there any Cat Protection places in your area- they may be able to direct you to a University vet clinic or a similar establishment
where they would be cheaper
I know as there is such a place in Sydney where I live
I know finance can be a problem- but a check up at a vet would set your mind at rest
and once I was allowed to pay the vet bill off
Good luck
David

I know that vet bills can get costly but if the poor baby bleed from the nose then you should really get the poor little baby checked you wouldn’t want her to suffer if she is in pain. To get the vet to just do a check on the baby it shouldn’t be that much just call around and get the cheatest rate. Good luck

Oh thank god she is going to be ok. And I’m so glad that the vet was so good to her. Just give kitty lots of love and she will recover faster then you think. ☺

I had a liter of kittens and one of them wasn’t eating all that great so someone told me to give her baby food either chicken or turkey, it has  to no vegetables just chicken broth or turkey broth, it worked for my kitten so it might for your kitten. I also let all the babies have it and they all loved it and gained weight and were very healthy, however i did feed the smaller baby by herself for about week, still feed them there regular cat food also. I hope this will work for you good luck.

First thing you need to do is realize what a poor quality of life your dogs have.  Then you need to improve it.  Congratulations, you have taken the first step to a better future by asking help on this forum. How about a doggie room instead of the crates?  Is there one room in your house that you can allow the dogs to be out and about?  Usually the kitchen works for this since most people have no carpet in the kitchen.  This makes clean-ups easier.  So install baby gates to keep them in the selected room when you are… Read more »

Can you imagine being locked up like that all the time? Their quality of life is suffering to the extreme. Please consider solutions such as a dog walker, dog sitter or doggy day care. Perhaps also a trainer who will potty train your dogs if you don’t have time to do it.

I know that it is very hard to let go of your pets because the are like family, but you have no time for them and they are suffering, and I’m sorry to say this but if you don’t take them out for walks how can they go anywhere else besides your house to the bathroom, its not there fault its yours. And also your being very selfish not to give those dogs away to someone that will take care of them. Your pets are suppose to be family so would you lock your children up all day and night… Read more »

My Baby Mouse(who Has Fur, But Hasn’t Opened Her Eyes) Got Out Of Her Cage…

My baby mouse(who has fur, but hasn’t opened her eyes) got out of her cage last night and I didn’t realize it until I woke up. I found her and put her back, but she is bleeding from her genitals and anus. She seems okay, otherwise, and is behaving normally(she even bit me when I picked her up!). Why is this happening, and what can I do? She was out of the cage for about 12 hours, and had walked across the room before I found her. There was nothing on the floor that could have injured her.

I want something small. Not a dog, cat, or bird. I want something that I can train to sit on my shoulder. It needs to be playful, but it still needs to be pretty tough. I want something that I can love and carry on my shoulder when I go out. Any suggestions?

i would not recommend a pet based on your desires.  either you want a “pocket pet” that stays in its enclosure, or you want a pet you can take out with you like a dog or cat.  there should not be any crossing of the streams here.

Get rid of your ct if you own one, or put your new pet’s cage where the cat can’t reach it. But seriously, just get rid of the cat. Anyways…..Pet rat! He will be trained to do tricks, he will love you, he will sit on your shoulder. But before you get him, get rid of all mouse traps! You want a female, because she can learn any trick very fast, so she’ll sit on your shoulder in no time at all. She’s going to be tough, fierce, and adventurous. You must remember to spay her. You may consider getting… Read more »

We Rescued Two Homeless Puppies Yesterday. They Look To Be About 2 Months Old. They…

We rescued two homeless puppies yesterday. They look to be about 2 months old. They were completely covered in fleas. We bathed them 3 times in Dawn detergent to kill the fleas. The tops of their heads are bald with thickened, bumpy skin. No other skin issues. Is the head issue probably from a flea allergy or is it probably mange? Hair is intact everywhere else. They have slept almost all day. They wake up, drink water, and go back to sleep. They ate a little puppy food last night, but none today, but they are drinking. I hope we are providing the right care. Should I use hydrogen peroxide on their heads? We’ve kept them separate from our dog because we are afraid the skin problem might be contagious.

a vet will do a skin scrape to determine the cause.  please take them to the vet ASAP (you should within 3 days of bringing them home, anyway).

what does your vet think?

Hi Jack, this could possibly be an allergy.  Does she have any infection in her eyes such as puss or discharge? Any other allergies? Have you made any changes recently, her diet? Wash powder? Put carpet freshner down or washed them? Try and narrow down what it could be.  If she keeps scratching she could introduce infection quite easily if there is none at the moment, especially in her eyes. If she were my dog I would take her to the Vet and have some tests done. Antihistamines should help with the itching but please take your Vets advice. Good… Read more »
