I was wondering if you could help me create a balanced diet for my dogs?
I recently started making more dehydrated home made meals using the ratio of 50% protein 25% fruit and vegetables and 25% whole grains. I dehydrate the ingredients separately and chop them to rehydrate during mealtime. I have done a lot of research on each and every ingredient I use to ensure they are all beneficial rather than just a filler.
For one meal example I use beef, beef liver, beef heart, sweet potatoes, organic flaxseed, organic coconut, parsley, dandelion greens, papaya, cranberries, pumpkin, sardines, rosemary, powdered eggshells, kelp, and alfalfa.
Basically what I am wondering is if I need to add any further vitamins or minerals or make changes to this meal plan in particular?

Particularly for the calcium, you need to calculate how much calcium AND phosphorus all the ingredients contain and calculate how to compensate with the eggshells. You might also want to make sure… Read more »

PS: I’d also like to see some good oil in the recipe (safflower, olive, evening primrose …)
