I am wondering why so many dogs are getting spleen cancer? I just lost my 13 year old collie/husky mix, Hailey, to it in April. Now my 12 year old husky, Nikita, has it. We had a ultrasound done and they saw spots on her liver too. I chose to bring her home until it was time. This was over a month ago, I have her on CBD oil and she seems to be doing ok. But why are we losing our dogs to this silent killer? I hear more and more people losing their fur babies to it. Is it food? Bad breeding? Nikita will is my 3rd baby I will have lost to this.

Hello,
We don’t know why we are seeing cancer more and more often in any species. We think it might be related to over use of chemicals, living longer in captivity or just being better at being able to look for and identify it. I wish your pup the best. Take care. Thanks for asking on Pawbly.
