Why do dogs wheeze? I can see it with smash-faced muzzles, but my long-snouted dogs often do. Is it more common with smaller dogs? A congenital condition from mixed breeding?
I think they were fit. Maybe some were over-excitable. I believe it’s the mixed breeding, but so many smaller dogs have been this way I hoped there was a common opinion.
I agree with Laura…. unfortunately, what we pet parents assume as”fit” isn’t the ideal level. I would talk to my vet. Explain the weezing. Ha e them do a thorough exam and then take things from there. Best of luck??

I would worry about heart problems or weight issues. What breed(s) are they? Are they fit?

Does your vet say your dogs are fit? “Fit” in this case means well muscled, with a visible tuck at the waist. You should be able to see the hint of the last rib. Wheezing is not normal, and something I would absolutely bring up with my vet.
