My Vet wants to prescribe Vetoryl for my dog with Atypical Cushing’s Disease. Since she already has below normal levels of cortisol, won’t this make her health worse? How could Vetoryl help in this instance?

Hello, I am always leery about jumping into a case I know nothing about. Atypical Cushings is an especially tough one. My best advice is to seek a second opinion from an internal medicine specialist. I have to admit I hear this diagnosis thrown around much more than I actually believe it exists and I always confirm it before jumping into an expensive and potentially dangerous treatment and disease monitoring protocol.
