If the veterinary allergy testing protocols can provide inconclusive results, and the dog has food as well as environmental allergens, how are you supposed to determine the food allergens if the environmental ones are setting off symptoms?

Technically, novel ingredients should not cause a reaction so that for me would be a starting point to an elimination diet. This might be somewhat difficult because most dogs were already exposed to most ingredients. With Jasmine, we started with emu and green beans. There is Dr. Dodds’ Nutriscan, which takes a different approach but, frankly, I don’t know for sure what I think of it yet. Might be worth of try.
