My 11 year old male pit bull Tyson who has been neutered when he was 6 months old was diagnosed with a enlarged prostate alittle over a month ago put on 2 rounds of antibiotics total of 4 weeks and a anti inflammatory. He is still no better still has trouble pooping can pee just fine sometimes pees inside but he really has a hard time pooping my question is what can I do can the vet just remove the prostate to elevated the pressure ??? How much would something like that cost. He is grumpy and I just don’t know what to do for him I hate seeing him like this please help

I agree- I would get in touch with the vet and either come up with a solution both of you are comfortable with.

Hello, I would follow up with your vet. They should be able to provide guidance and also give you an estimate for surgery if they feel that is an option. Best wishes for you and your pup.
