My 10 year old cat had surgery to get a lump removed on her back and now she has two fluid pockets on her side that are infected. I took her back in and they sampled it and sent me home with more pain meds and antibiotics. It’s day 6 and she is still in pain, not herself and can tell she’s super uncomfortable. What should I do?

Good morning. I’m sorry about your cat. You need to talk to the vet who did the surgery. I would ask for a thorough follow up, and explain that something is definitely not right. Ask about possibly stronger antibiotics and better pain meds. Have an open discussion with you vet about all your options for your cat’s recovery. Hope she feels better soon!
