Home Made Peanut Butter Treats In a food processor, combine 1 cup of peanut butter (organic would be great!) with 3/4 cup of milk.  Then add 2 1/2 cups of buckwheat flower (buckwheat is gluten free so usually does not kick up allergies in dogs), 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder (this helps keep fleas away from your pooch!).  You may also add some flax seeds if you like at this point. For a long time we’ve been using only home-made treats for your dogs. We do jerky (dehydrated meat, whichever we get, such as ground beef, beef hearts, beef liver, or even beef roast when on special); you can also dehydrate sweet potato or fruits if your dog would like them; and when we want lower calorie treats we slow cook the roast/heart/liver instead.

YEa, Jana. Great suggestions for treats. and like jana does, it is best if you buy your ingredients and make treats for them just like you would for people in your family.
