I just rescued an 11month old cocker spaniel. He got neutered right before I took him home. I took him to the vet and he got a clean bill of health. Just yesterday I noticed his nose was running a bit. Now today its running a lot. It is clear i. Color and it doesn’t seem to have an odor to it. Should I be concerned? I’m going to call the vet in the am I’m just worried about my little buddy. Also a note. I have an appointment with the vet for Friday to get his stitches removed from his surgery. Could it be a complication to his surgery? Any help is appreciated 🙂

Hello Jules,
Congratulations on your new puppy and thank you for rescuing a dog and for neutering him.

Clear nasal discharge can be a result of fluids if they were administered during surgery, or if there is excess fluids in the chest,or allergies, or even the first sign of respiratory infection. So I would certainly check into it with your veterinarian in the morning.
I hope this helps
And we wish you the best of luck with your new puppy
Sincerely
Krista
