Hello,
Okay please no judgment this might sound pathetic.
I have a new cat she is 5 to 6 months old and is a tabby she has been extremely affectionate ever since we got her. However, very recently it has started to get less and less. A week ago I got very sick and the first two days she was super affectionate and caring and spent almost every second with me. The next three days of recovery I notice her mood change and that she wanted to be around me less and less except at night to sleep and the very rare, occasional, situation where she shows a split second of it and then closes off but even now she seems to hardly want to be affectionate and i dont know what is happening and why or what to do. Help!?

No judgement- promise. How long have you had her? She could be adjusting and learning the household so to speak. She could be “being a cat”, which happens. I know at our house the cat has to be the one calling the shots. Seems like she only wants to be n your lap when you really have to get out of the chair you’re in?. However, if it really is a personality change, you may want to start keeping a close eye on her and if anything else is different (litter box, eating, etc.) call the vet.
