My Pitbull seems to have a small skin condition where scabs develop at random locations. These scabs can be removed without much effort. Red skin underneath as you might expect.

My experience with skin issues and vets is that most of the time a vet isn’t going to do you any good long term.  You have to pretty much figure it out yourself, and manage to problem yourself, with a little help from the vet. So, is the dog scratching?  Mange/mite on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 20!  Seriously.  My dogs and I all got sarcoptic mange and you never saw dog or human scratch so much.  Little yellow pustules appeared first, then turn to scabs – all over the body but on the tummy first. Do you think the scabs are occurring because of a reaction or because she’s had some little traumas like scratching herself on a bush?  I’ve noticed on my pit x foster dog when he rough houses with the other dogs he’ll have some scabbing — not because the others are biting him but he’s jumping in bushes and rolling around on rocks.  I can always match a little scab of his to an incident where I am expecting a scab.  If your scabs, however are mysterious, I would take her to the vet to do a skin test.
