My pitbull is 12 and has had these wounds on her body for almost 6months, her feet are also very swollen. She can walk but struggles sometimes. She doesn’t bite or lick the wounds, they do not appear to be itchy or cause her pain.

All I can add is, if you have not been working with a vet — you need to do so.  If you HAVE been working with a vet and things haven’t improved in 6 months you need to find a new vet.  In the mean time, be sure to remove all grains from your dog’s diet, including treats.

Good luck

Hi Jade,

Many animals including dogs can hide pain even with the ones who love them most so it’s best that we don’t assume they are fine simply becuase they aren’t sending us pain signals.

+ the wounds themselves do look bad + they’ve been there for 6 months + she struggles when walking… So all of that are enough signs that she needs expert medical attention.

Wish her the best of luck!

Caroline.
