My name is Natissa and I have a problem with my sister’s pet rabbit. She is currently away from home so I’ve been left to look after it.The rabbit’s name is Charlie.
She is a full grown female rabbit of 3 years.
Several weeks ago I noticed she had some sort of discharge by the corner of her right eye and the eye appeared half-closed.Ive fed her hay, rabbit food(pellets),cucumbers (and carrots and apples occasionally).
The discharge is long gone…and there are no visible bumps or sores or any kind of injury on her around her face. She seems her usual self and is sweet as always.
Im just worried as to why her eye is still half closed.
I wanted to take her in for treatment….but she had somehow escaped the garden overnight and disappeared for 3 days. When she came back I managed to catch her and bring her inside.
I tried to get the vet to make a house call but It seems Im going to have to manage to take her myself somehow. The Vets office is very far from my house, and the cab is expensive. There’s no other public transport option in my area.I just wanted to get an expert opinion first(in the least).
