She is a Siamese mix, this problem has only been going on for about two weeks, and when she cleans/grooms herself, she always bites her fur so I didn’t notice she actually had fleas until I noticed the bald spots recently.

I am not a specialist or anything but I would recommend you to buy some medication to treat the fleas and shower your cat or use baby whipes that are alcoholic free to wash her out to keep clean. It would also be good if you clean the wound out to keep it from getting infected.

whatever you do, avoid Hartz and the like.  get the good stuff – Frontline or Advantage.  avoid Advantix – that’s canine only and is poison for cats.

Can you put cat frontline on her? I would start with that. If she is still itchy in a day or two she may need further treatment for a possible skin infection. Also, if she is that sensitive to fleas I would keep her on frap line or a reputable flea product year round.
