We have a year old neutered male cat named Sherlock. We have a woodstove in our living room and Sherlock has started randomly spending time licking the metal piping that comes out of the stove. (it’s not hot or cooking wood currently). He will do this several times a day for about 5-10 minutes each time.

What could be some reasons causing him to want to lick the wood stove piping?

Hello Kelly, Thank you for your question. But you have put me in a bit of a pickle. I am unwaiveringly honest. It is a bit of a flaw in some cases. This would be one of those cases. I cannot answer your qestion honestly and for the public, so I am going to default to what I belive to be the best advice I can give you and your pet, and answer this directly.
