My miniature schnauzer has been vomiting daily, and has light/pale pink colored gums. She has vomited semi-solid, but mostly a yellow or clear liquid (sometimes with some foam). Today, however, I believe she vomited her stomach’s fluids (green colored). After vomiting, she loses energy. She has lost weight and doesn’t eat her food in the period of time she used to. We thought it was gastritis, but when we changed her food to one that helps her digestion, it didn’t have any effect on her! What could she have?

Hello- I am sorry about your dog. You should get her to a vet right away. From the sounds of it, she is very dehydrated and has gone from bad to worse. Your vet will do a thorough examination and be able to help you better with regard to what is wrong and how to fix it. Good luck.

Small dogs dehydrate quickly. Please, get her to the vet ASAP…this morning, if at all possible.

I agree with Laura and Sarah. Please see a vet immediately. I would want your pup to have a thorough exam. A fecal sample sent to the lab for analaysis of intestinal parasites (these are often not visible in the feces by the naked eye), and bloodwork done to check for liver disease, pancreatitis and even a maldigestion profile. Schnauzers are notorious for liver ailments and pancreatitis. Please don’t wait any longer. The longer you wait the harder these cases can be to resolve. Good luck.
