Hi Amber, I’d first ask the question why is the skin dry. Is it seasonal? Is it an older dog? Is the thyroid functioning properly? Anything that’s going on with the body or the diet that could be behind this? Is the dog getting enough essential fatty acids in the diet? Those would be the questions I’d like answered. If all checks out, then I’d look at supporting the skin topically. There are products to do that, such as the Essential 6 spot on. Hello Amber, Your dogs dry skin has an underlying cause. Remember that the skin is the largest organ in the body, and like every other organ it gets sick when something damages it. So, the remedy might best be identified by figuring out what is causing the skin to be dry? It could be as simple as your dog on an inferior diet. So telling you to use a good conditioner, or adding a supplement like Omega 3 fatty acids, or coconut oil, etc to the food might help a little, but wouldnt it be better to just put them… Read more »
