I’ve been really worried about my 10yr old Pomeranian lately as he has been coughing and gagging, mostly when he gets really excited or plays sadly, but he never gets anything up. Anyone know whats going on?

I’ve thought this too. I remember, the last time we had him to a vet due to issues with fleas, the vet had said that he apparently was born with a heart murmur or has developed one. This is making me really, really anxious as to we’re barely making it a lot of the time and I’m not sure we have the money to take him but I’m gonna try to get my family together on this and get everyone to scrounge up what we have to take him. I’m sorry to hear about your Pom. This really worries me.
Take to vet. Either a collapsing trachea or possibly heart condition. Def check out. Just had to put my 12 yr old Pom to sleep due to a sudden heart situation.
It sounds like a vet exam would be a really good idea for him. There are a number of things that could cause this.
