Hi, I have a Syrian hamster who is probably 8 months old. Yesterday I noticed that one of his bottom teeth became white. It was yellow before. The white teeth is even with the other teeth and they are not overgrown. He behaves as normal. Should I concerned about this color change? He bites cage bars often so I am worried about if this indicates that he hurts his teeth? Or other health issues? Thanks!

Hello,
Although I am not an expert on this species I have never heard of a problem with teeth turning white? Maybe a problem if they turn pink, purple or brown (indicating damage to the teeth and the pulp). If he is acting normally I think it is ok to monitor for now. But, The best advice we ca give is to always seek veterinary care in person if you are concerned.
