Hey there! My Weimaraner Bay is 6 and this random bump showed up a few weeks ago. It’s only on one side of her ear and it doesn’t seem to pain her in any other way and there have been no behavioral or environmental changes in our home. Based on my own research I believe this to be a histocytoma, but she’s older than the age group that are most likely to get these? Idk I’d really like to take her to the vet but in the midst of the aggressively spreading pandemic that seems like a bad idea. I was hoping that Dr. Magnifico or another actual vet could give their input?? Thank you for the help!

Hello,
All lumps and bumps are just guesses until they are submitted for biopsy and histopathology. I do think that as long as it stays small and quiet that you probably have a little time to wait out the virus. If it grows Or starts to bother your pet please call your vet and ask for guidance over the phone. . And for the record my dog had one on his nose at 10 years old. If you are a jarrettsville vey client please let me know. Be safe.
