I’d definitely call somebody. Your vet, emergency vet or Pet Poison Helpline

855-764-7661. Onions are toxic and can cause anemia. I’m not sure how dose dependent it is, better ask somebody who knows for sure. If it just happened, I’d induce vomiting.

Signs of poisoning:

  • Drooling
  • Nausea
  • Oral irritation
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Lethargy
  • Abdominal pain
  • Elevated heart rate and respiratory rate
  • Weakness
  • Exercise intolerance
  • Collapse
  • Pale gums
