I would take your dog to a vet now.  Sarcoptic mange can look like this at the beginning.  The vet can do a simple scraping or give you suggestions to get ahead of the problem.

In the mean time be sure to stop feeding your dog all grains.  Find a grain-free dog food and treats.  Stop sharing snacks that contain grains such as cookies or corn chips.  Dogs do not need to eat grain, and it often impacts their ability to fight off allergies.

Good luck.

External parasites are a possibility but a skin infection could also be the problem. You can give a bath with hypoallergenic shampoo or an oatmeal shampoo. You can google the use of benedryl for pets. If it persists or worsens see your vet – they want to try an oral antibiotic or further diagnostics. I hope your pet is better soon!
