My poodle has been driving me INSANE. In the middle of the night he decides to roam around and pee in places. He was never like this when he was a puppy. Hes about 16 months old now. This crazy guy decides to escape from under the fence and just walk!, he humps every single dog he possibly get next to, he always barks, he always crys, he jumps on everyone out of excitement, he poops in the middle of ANYWHERE (doesn’t even have the nerve to hide), and now he has decided to follow our female dog around and lick anywhere he can smell she was. He follows her around and attempts to reach her private area and lick it after every walk. You guys have no idea how mad it makes me. He cries when she ignores him (she is about 70 lbs heavier so just imagine how ridiculous it looks). He cries if she doesn’t let him hump her, I don’t know guys this guy is driving me insane. Should I get him fixed or am I just a horrible trainer. I cant take it anymore I wash the floor every 3 days this is getting nuts.

most of this is training. 1 – he needs to be crate trained, and you need to utilize the crate when you cannot supervise him 100% of the time.  this is for his safety as much as it is to protect your wallet and your bitch from random hump attacks. 2 – neutering will not fix the problems, but it’s ALWAYS a good idea to neuter…especially if your bitch is intact. 3 – you need to supervise him when he is outside.  fix the holes under the fence. 4 – leash him to you when inside…this way he can’t sneak… Read more »

OH, and invest in a belly band or three. discourage chewing (coat it with bitter apple, if he dislikes it). it’s a training tool. don’t rely on it completely, but it *can* help.

the chewing is dangerous – he can end up with a blockage, which can be fatal.

Oh, i think he should absolutely be neutered. I just don’t think that will fix the problems. It certainly won’t be an instant fix and it won’t prevent the pooping or the general destruction.

Hello Karolina, Benzo sounds as if he has a lot of Testosterone racing around. It also sounds like its becoming a real problem to you and him, not to mention your other dog. Perhaps you should make an appointment with your Vet and discuss all this with him and see what he advises. If Benzo were my dog I would be having him neutered as it would resolve a lot of the problems you are having…..take the Testosterone away and he wouldn’t have the urge to do all the things hes doing at the moment. Good luck and I hope… Read more »

No you are right, the pooping and destruction won’t stop…hopefully the humping, pestering the bitch and stealing knickers will!! Ha ha…bit of both here…neutering and train agreed. Hats off to you I was never brave enough to have a male Weimaraner…like Dobies they are very hard work indeed.
