I have a 2 and a half year old gray female cat named Elvis. About a week ago she started limping. I took her to the vet and they said her hips aren’t in the perfect position, they are not dislocated just not in a perfect position. She is still walking but limits it. She no longer runs around and plays. She is still eating, drinking and using the bathroom fine. The vet said it would cost 1,000+ to do more test to get a actual diagnosis if it doesn’t get better in a couple weeks. There are no wounds or cuts on her paws. I’m just wondering what could possibly cause this. I feel so horrible, just want my baby to be ok again.

Hello,
I think a few things might be helpful. First and absolutely most important make sure your cat is at a good weight. If not change the diet (I always rec changing to wet food if on dry). And ask for a referral to either a feline only vet or an orthopedic surgeon.
