I know there will be a great answer from Krista about the conventional approaches and the causes of this challenging problem. As a holistic veterinarian I know that there is an underlying vibrational imbalance that causes most problems and the healing goal is to resolve that imbalance with treatments selected for that individual animal. To better understand this perspective, read the first few chapters of Don Hamilton’s Homeopathic Care of Cats and Dogs or the few pages in my book, the Healthy Animal’s Journal.  Acupuncture (and other TCVM approaches), homeopathy and chiropractic are usually very effective in completely curing this problem… Read more »

Where in Maryland, Nicole? there are great holistic vets in Bethesda, Germantown, Mt. Airy, Baltimore and suburbs, Annapolis, and a few others.  Flower essences are something you can try yourself. They are totally safe. There is an article about them on my site. If the urinating is related to the anxiety, the essences will definitely help.
