My heavy-set adult cat has had a small growth around his shoulder/neck area for around three years now. As he has gotten progressively rotund, the growth has grown slowly. I did some research and narrowed it down ( I think) to a fatty tumor. It is not connected to any bone or tissue and seems to be a protruding pocket of fat. Just wanted to make sure. I will probably take him to a vet for a wellness exam soon but wanted to see your thoughts! He eats, sleeps, plays, pees/poops like any normal 9 year old cat.

Thanks,
Mecca and Russel Stover the cat

i’d get him to the vet…and please work on getting his weight down.  overweight cats aren’t healthy.

only a vet can tell you exactly what this is. that should be your next step.
