Dr. Magnifico recently saw my newly adopted kitten Lil Trooper. He was a little sick…

Dr. Magnifico recently saw my newly adopted kitten Lil Trooper. He was a little sick from a ruptured abscess but is now doing great. My question is regarding his never ending appetite. He loves to eat almost without end sometimes. He will eat most of his dry food and wet food, then he moves to another one of our cats bowls and then he moves on to the dogs dry food which is Venison. Last night his belly was rumbling with air. What is a good amount of food for him to eat? Should he be on kitten food or is it fine for him to eat the regular cat food? He would be eating regular food if he were still outside withe the other kittens and cats. Is it going to hurt him if he sneaks in a few bites of the dogs food? Thanks for your help and advice.
