She has always had a couple of skin offshoots coming off of this pad, which always appeared thin and wispy, like small feathers. These are also swollen.

Hi Jason.  I do not know the answer to your question but any time lumps or bumps appear on a pet (that were not there before) combined with limping and/or licking (showing it is bothering your pet) it is best to visit your Veterinarian as soon as possible to have it checked out.
