My dog is very uncoordinated this morning, like she is drunk. She is shaking, unable to hear and seems unable to focus on anything. She is a 13 year old border collie. Is there any chance of recovery please?

Hi Richard,

Sounds like you need to take her  to vet. I’m sure that your vet can evaluate her and can work with you on a treatment plan or options for her.

Good luck! I hope she’s ok.

I’m very sorry to hear your dog is so ill. , There could be numerous reasons for your Border Collie acting this way……a stroke; brain tumour or something else entirely.

You cannot leave her like this…please take her to an Emergency Vet immediately even though its Bank Holiday Monday. Shes not going to suddenly ‘snap’ out of this herself. Take her to a Vet urgently she is suffering. Plus only a Vet can tell you if there is any chance of her recovering.

Hi Richard, I’m so pleased you have taken her to the Vet. I thought it could be a Stroke from the symptoms you described… bless her….what a worry for you.

Sending my best wishes and I hope your girl has a speedy recovery. Thank you for letting us know whats happened….and give her a big hug from me ?
