I have an older dog that is having trouble controlling her bowels. As a result, she is pooping in the house, and I have noticed over the past two weeks that her poop is coming out cold. What causes this? Is it anything to be concerned about? Is it a sign of a health problem?

Hello, Thanks for your question. It would be interesting to know what kind of dog you have and how old she is? Loss of continence, whether it be urinary or fecal, is more common in older dogs, for many of the same reasons that it is in people. As we age the hormones and muscles that control our ability to hold our urine or feces starts to weaken.
