Our cat has been unable to jump up on things like the couch. He lays on his side a lot and limps after a few seconds of running. He doesn’t mind us touching his paws and legs, but a gentle tug on his left hind leg seems to hurt him.

he could have something wrong with his back or his leg.  please consider taking him to the vet.  i’m not a vet, but i’m going to guess he’s in a bit of pain.

Has your cat always had this problem or is this recent? With your cat being bothered with its one leg combined with not wanting to leap and jump looks like your cat is telling you something is wrong and a trip to the vet is needed. Good luck!!!

Hi Carina,

So sorry to hear about your cat. In general cats do hide pain, i’m going through this with my kitten at the moment. So you feeling that something is wrong should be taken as a sign that there IS something wrong. If he is sending you pain signals do take him to the vet. I hope he feels better soon.

Warm wishes to you and your cat,

Caroline
