I have a cat that has been previously diagnosed with mega colon. She is on a digestive diet with fiber supplements. She has been doing GREAT on this diet for the last year. No issues. The other day I came home and saw vomit and a small amount of fecal matter on the floor. This was a sign she was constipated again. She acted normal but when looking at the anus you could see it partially open and fecal matter present. I was able to get her to pass some stool but it was surprisingly soft compared to the rocks that she would pass previously. It has been 2 days. She is very lethargic and when she does walk she looks like she is constipated. She is licking back there frequently. Her anus is red and swollen and appears to be oozing a green-tan liquid that I am assuming is fecal matter. A fowl odor can be detected when just looking. In previous days she would put up a fuss if you even touched in her rear area or tried to look. Today she let me look rather easily. She is eating and drinking very little.

She should see a vet as soon as possible.
