His blood work came back normal and he has no fever. He was given fluids last night and again today since he’s not eating or drinking. I just want to get a second opinion since I find it hard to believe he wouldn’t need to be put on medication for an infection.

Hello Dayna,

If your cat is still showing abnormal behaviors then the underlying cause has not been isolated yet.  To determine if an ear infection is present, your vet would thoroughly examine your cat’s ear canal and take a sample of the contents for further testing.  Here is an excellent blog by Dr. Magnifico about <“http://kmdvm.blogspot.com/2014/10/kitten-head-tilt-maybe-upper.html”> ear tilt that might give you some good advice.

I hope your cat is feeling better soon!

As far as I know he definitly needs medications. In my experience antibioticas are needed to fight the infection and if the pain is too much sometimes also pain meds are given.
I would ask the vet for fitting antibiotics to treat the infection.
