I’m worried that the painkillers are causing him to act like this. They said he is most likely bruised and has some small cracks in his back. But not to worry it will heal in time. He seems worse now. I haven’t given any pain meds since 11 am this morning.

You say he won’t use litter – does that mean he is urinating/defaecating elsewhere or that he isn’t urinating/defaecating at all? He sounds painful to me, and may need to be checked for other injury. I would recommend taking him back to the vet and having a re-check – Some issues won’t be identifiable immediately after the incident but are more obvious after some time has passed. Best wishes to you and kitty!

I would certainly advise a re-visit, there could be any number of issues going on, and a check up to ensure nothing serious is occurring would be a good idea. Hope all goes well!
