I think my cats teats are under developed or something because the kittens were born early. Also the teats don’t seem to stick out much, they are quite flat and hard. I have no idea how to help and I really want this little one to survive.

And if mom isn’t upset with you, continue trying to get that kitten latched on! Hopefully momma cat will take care of the rest (fingers crossed!)

Is the kitten crying a lot, or do you see it trying to nurse, then napping? Does her belly look fuller than usual under the teats, indicating her milk is in? Best scenario would be to have your vet take a look. If the kitten is crying a lot, or seems weak, that becomes imperative! If you can’t get them in, I would get a kitten nurser bottle and some milk replacer and be ready to supplement if needed.
