Make an appointment with your vet!  You need a vet’s help to get ahead of the problem — it may be mange! Then get all grain out of his diet.  Find grain-free dog food and treats, and don’t share human foods that contain grains.  So don’t share those corn chips with the dog!   Switch from Benadryl to the generic form of Zyrtec (active ingredient: Cetirizine hydrochloride), it is more effective. Hi Bryan. Try giving your dog a bath with hypoallergenic or oatmeal dog shampoo. I believe it is ok to do this outside and rinse off with the hose – Labs tend to love water even if a little cold. You can give dogs benedryl for allergies – Google the proper dosage. If the skin does not clear up or gets worse I would make an appointment with your vet. I hope your pet is better soon!
