Does anyone have any ideas on what to do when your puppy hates to be left alone, bites your hands and feet and follows you around when you tell them to stay in one place.

I agree with Sarah. But I have to be totoally honest. I always get a puppy for my puppy. It makes everyone’s life easier and happier. Dogs love to be part of a pack. Especially young dogs who are used to being in their litter and surrounded by their brothers and sisters and mom.

Good morning? I would start with a good puppy class. It helps both of you in a number of ways- bonding, helpful tops for you on how to train, exercise both mental and physical, things and ways to practice at home, socialization….. the list goes on. Along with that, patience and consistency are absolutely key to training. Praise the positive, redirect/correct (kind but firm) negative behaviors. And from a dog trainer perspective, two puppies are a NIGHTMARE. It’s one thing if you’re very experienced and know how to prevent littermate syndrome…it’s another thing entirely if you’re new to owning dogs and don’t know how to recognize the symptoms of it.
