The most reliable thing to use for breed detection is DNA.  You can get a cheek swab kit for around $75 (US) which is less reliable or you can ask your vet to do a blood drawn DNA kit which is usually around $200 (US).  As an animal rescuer, most adoption organizations take a guess on the breed based on how the animal looks.  This can be very unreliable.  I would like to understand why you are wanting to know the breed?  Breeds have standards for looks and a general idea of temperament but I know plenty of purebred breeds… Read more »
