What the pumpkin does is expands the waste so it’s a little more solid as it moves out through the anus thus helping the dog to expel any build up in their anal glands.  My vet told me 1/4 cup in each meal for my 55 lb BosJin Fieloxer (aka mixed breed) so depending on the weight of your baby and the amount you feed her it may be ok.  If you see her struggling and straining to poop I would discontinue immediately.
