7 year old Pomeranian back left hind leg limping no pain what at home remedy works? I want to try home remedy before taking to the vet. Will cold compressions work? Massage?

Firstly, I’d like to emphasize that he’s limping BECAUSE it hurts. There are many many reasons why a dog can start limping. I’d recommend first examine the entire leg thoroughly, starting from the toes. There could be a foreign body, infection, wound, damaged nail, insect bite or sting, snake bite … the list is long before you even get to musculoskeletal causes. It make sense to make sure it’s nothing from the above first. If you don’t find any foreign bodies, wounds, lesions, swelling, then you might suspect muscle or a joint. you need to know the cause of the lameness before attempting to help it.  get a diagnosis and go from there.  i’d keep her on crate rest for the time being, though.  get her in tomorrow, yeah?
